To ensure there is enough time to request and obtain income information before the anniversary date of their court order, clients need to send RP their registration packages at least four months before that date.
Either the recipient or payor of child support can register with RP by providing a completed Registration Request and a copy of their child support order. Once either party registers, both the recipient and payor are obligated to be part of the program.
Parties are not required to be clients of the Maintenance Enforcement Program (MEP) in order to register with RP.
RP cannot recalculate in all cases where a parent is self-employed or involved in a private corporation. Self-employed parties may wish to contact staff to discuss RP’s policies before choosing to submit a Registration Request.
