Court Case Management Program

The Court Case Management Program (CCM) is a judicially-led initiative that started in 2008.

The first phase of the program focused on streamlining the justice system to increase efficiencies, build public confidence and improve access to justice. This has been achieved through the development of the Case Management Office (CMO), specialized Assignment Courts, Required Appearance Courtrooms, Low Complexity Courtrooms, Remote Court Scheduling software and the implementation of file ownership.

Building on the many successes and technical advances of the first phase of CCM, CCM2 will leverage new and innovative technology to ensure the criminal justice system is relevant and responsive, and its resources are utilized efficiently. Currently the program has been implemented in Edmonton, Calgary, Okotoks, and Wetaskiwin and is expanding to include additional court locations throughout Alberta.
