Every two years, it is tradition in the province of Alberta that selected lawyers be recognized for their outstanding contributions to the legal profession or in public life by being appointed as Queen's Counsel.

The deadline for applications for 2011's appointments has passed. It is anticipated Queen’s Counsel recipients will be announced approximately December 31, 2011.
